Dr. Cockerham was recently featured in Grossmont Hospital Foundation’s Spotlight on Philanthropy for her impressive use of the new Topcon Maestro2 Retina Scanner.
An excerpt from the spotlight:
“With the purchase of the Topcon Maestro2 Retina Scanner, Dr. Kimberly Cockerham, Neuro-Ophthalmologist, has been using this scanner to detect issues such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, tumors, and other critical retinal diseases. Over sixty-five scans have been completed, detecting fifteen brain tumors which otherwise would have gone undetected.”
